I gave a presentation about Goal Play! at the Brookline Booksmith tonight.  About 80 people attended, and among them was Margaret, the heroine of the first chapter of the book.  She was 11 or 12 when I coached her, and now she is in high school.

In a surprise encounter, Margaret had a chance to meet two of the young women playing professional soccer for the Boston Breakers, midfielder Bianca D’Agostino and defender Julie King.  They had come directly from a tough practice session to hear the talk and generously stayed around to visit with Margaret.
